About Us

     The Mispillion Bass Club was founded in 1982 by a group of friends who wanted to share their passion

 for bass fishing among their friends and their community.  Since then several members have come and gone but the purpose of the club has remained the same, to support and engage in activities that promote fellowship and to share knowledge and techniques that will help each of us become better fisherman.

     Each year the club participates in two community functions with the town of Milford.  We take this opportunity to promote fishing for children at no expense to them or their parents.  Children of different age groups receive awards for 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd place for their fish catching and casting abilities.

     We also have a fishing tournament for those patient ladies who tolerate our passion; who allow us to get up early and fish all day without complaining. 

   At the end of the season we have an awards banquet for members and their guests where plaques are given to the anglers who have earned the title of ‘Mr. Bass’ and ‘Mr. Bass Runner-up’. 

     We have twelve tournaments per year for which each angler’s points from their ten best finishes are counted towards the yearly awards.  As part of the twelve tournaments fished, we hold a Spring Classic and a Fall Classic with a monetary payout for 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd place.

   Each year we plan a club fishing trip to an agreed upon location and at a time that is convenient to the members who want to attend.

   Our members include both Boaters and Non-Boaters who are paired up for tournaments (see bi-laws).  We are always welcoming new members.  If you are interested, please review our bi-laws and contact one of our members for details.
